Help Me
Gay and Lesbian Switchboard (VIC) Inc (aka Switchboard) operates daily from 6pm until 10pm on Mondays / Tuesdays / Thursdays. Our counsellors are also available Wednesdays from 2pm until 10pm, and Friday / Saturday / Sundays 6pm to 9pm.
Switchboard's service is free, anonymous, and confidential. Our phones are staffed by trained volunteer counsellors who are themselves gay, lesbian, bisexual, or transgender.

Counselling
All of the counsellors at Switchboard have completed our comprehensive training programme. They are available to discuss any issue. Our counsellors are happy to help you irrespective of your gender. We cannot always guarantee a counsellor withyour gender will be available when you call.
Information
Switchboard can provide callers with information on issues such as safe sex, health issues, community information and referrals to queer groups and organisations.
Referrals
Switchboard has a referral database of over 500 GLBTI (Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex) community groups, organisations, and queer friendly service providers.
