Mildura is a fabulous place for gliding and this Club is as good a facility for training and flying as any in Australia. If you live in Mildura or perhaps just visiting, come out to the gliding field on any Saturday and see how we operate. If you would like to experience a flight in a glider, we can arrange to take you for an air experience flight in one of our two seat gliders with a qualified flying instructor. This will cost just $50 for about ten to fifteen minutes in the air. If this makes you want to learn to fly, then take the next step and join our club. Information about costs. As a club member, you will receive flying lessons in the Blanik two seat glider. When the instructors consider you can fly safely on your own, you can then fly solo. This will be a memorable event in your life. Most people get to this stage after about 60 flights, sometimes more, sometimes less. The club has two 2 seat gliders and two single seat gliders offering training and cross country capability. In addition, there is one privately owned glider and one privately owned motorglider. This is a Sinus two seat glider which is in the ultralight category. This is a new type, new to Australia and is worth seeing. To find the gliding club, just go to the southern end of Deakin Avenue, turn right into Whitecliff Avenue and take the track about 100 metres along on your left at the sign.
