  Welcome!

From the Chapter President:

G’day Folks,

As many of you know, after serving as the PR Chairperson for 3 months, I’ve taken over the role of RMIT Chapter President from Lidya Paulina, since 16th of July 2003.

I was very impressed at the number of new members who attended the AGM in July and were keen to get involved with the committee. We have a very young and enthusiastic committee, and our Vice President, Elizabeth Le, and myself feel very honoured to lead such a wonderful team over the next year.

In August 2003, Jasmine Bojadzieva (our treasurer) and I attended the 2003 Golden Key International Conference, which was held in Chicago and it was a wonderful experience to meet students just like us, from seven other countries and a multitude of different cultures. I had a fantastic time and the conference has inspired me with many great ideas to improve our Chapter and to reach for new heights.

Finally, I’d like to strongly encourage all new and old Golden Key members to become active in your chapter because otherwise Golden Key will just be another certificate at the bottom of your shelf. Get involved with our chapter activities, whether it be joining our committee, attending a community service or social event or just come and make new friends because that’s what Golden Key’s all about.

Any vacant committee positions as well as upcoming events will be advertised on the website, so please check regularly and don’t hesitate to email me or one of the other committee members if you have any questions or comments.

- Priji
