Golden Key Photos

Listed below are photos taken at various Golden Key events. We will be updating this section with more photos periodically.

Golden Key Art Prize

This event marked the chapter's first artistic forray. The three galleries at 4Cats were lined with 27 works of varying form, from photos, to paintings, to sculptures, to some that defied classification. The three eventual winning entries, along with some other shapshots taken during the night, can be found in this gallery.

RMIT Sausage Sizzle

In what is almost becoming customary weather for RMIT GK outings, rain sporadically interrupted our sausage sizzle in Bowen St, however even in such damp conditions few can resist the temptation of $1 sausages and drinks. Thankfully, our attempt at the Bundoora campus went far more smoothly. Click here for an account from our newsletter editor.

Melbourne Zoo trip

Starting off 2003 for the committee was a trip to the zoo. This was open to both members an non-members, but unfortunately only a handful of people decided to join us. The rainy Melbourne weather made for a cold start to the day, but things improved as the day went on. An account of the day was posted in the newsletter.

2003 Asia-Pacific Conference

Some happy snaps from those who attended the Asia Pacific Conference in February. The conference was held at Star City Hotel in Sydney, and was a celebration of 10 years of the society's operation outside of the United States.

Very Special Kids Charity Fundraiser

Very Special Kids is a unique organisation that improves the quality of the life for families who have a child with a progressive life-threatening illness. Members of the Golden Key chapter were present at their fundraiser late last year to lend a hand.

2002 Annual General Meeting

Like the name suggests, this November meeting was open to all RMIT chapter members. The meeting served to inform attending members on further details on Golden Key, as well as the role and current state of the RMIT chapter and its committee. The bulk of the current committee were chosen/volunteered for their positions during this meeting, and if you look very carefully you can see both of the eventual webmasters. :-)

2002 Asia-Pacific Conference

Jake, our previous chapter President and current Graduate Advisor, went to the 2002 Asia-Pacific Conference in Gold Coast in February "in search of inspirations and support from Golden Key International Honour Society". And he brought his camera.

Fishing Trip

"The beautiful Peninsula port of Mornington, provides the perfect base for Melbourne's Award winning Fishing Charter Operation." Sounds like a great place to go fishing, especially on a nice sunny day.

2002 Induction Ceremony

The 2002 induction ceremony was held in August and, thanks to the tireless hard work of the committee, went off without a hitch. Hopefully this year's will be just as smooth.
