| It is more crucial than ever to have the plans, vision and energy to keep our region prosperous. This means supporting jobs growth and the growth of important services in Ballarat and surrounding towns.
More people have been moving to Regional Victoria so we need to ensure that we have expanding job opportunities and opportunities for all residents to have ongoing access to quality education and health services as well as ensuring that our infrastructure roads, water supply etc. continues to meet our needs.
We need to continue to invest in education at every level from kindas to post-secondary education to ensure our children are learning skills to benefit their future and the future of our communities.
We also want to see continued record spending on health and community safety and continue to provide the facilities we need.
I believe that under Steve Bracks and John Brumby our Labor Government demonstrated a great record in these areas.
It is now my job to hold the Baillieu Government to account, to advocate for continued spending for regional Victoria and to make sure that the new government does not turn its back on Regional Victoria like the Liberals have in the past.
I want to continue working with community members to make sure that our region remains a great place to live, work and raise a family.
