Notes for Caroline (Cary) Chapple

From Notes supplied by Doris Estelle Chapple (RIN18): Caroline was known as Carrie and emigrated to Canada at turn of the century, returned in 1904 and married. She returned to Canada and eventually returned to England and moved into a house in in Palmerston Road, Walthamstow in 1911 where she spent the rest of her life. Carrie married an Englishman, Sam Richardson, and they had two children. Sam was first born. He married and lived in St Catherines, Ontario, Canada. Aunt Carrie, husband Sam and Florence are all buried in North Chingford cemetery.

Notes from Brenda Chapple 28/12/1956: She lived in Rose Cottage, Rosebank Grove. She attended the William Morris School, Gainsford Road, Walthamstow. Her dad's mother, (paternal grandmother) lived in this road. His sister Maud lived in the same house. The aunt, Aunt Maud, would take sandwiches to Maud Ethel at lunchtime.
