| p293:  | The association of sexual perversions with temporal lobe lesions is recorded in a number of cases. Hooshmand and Brawley (1969) reported two cases of exhibitionism with a tumour or an EEG focus in the temporal lobe. The abnormal sexual behavior ceased after anticonvulsant therapy. Fetishism and transvestism have also been reported in temporal lobe epileptics. The tree patents described by Mitchell et al (1954) lost their perversions after temporal lobectomy. |
| 293:  | A consecutive series of 46 transsexuals, 35 men and 11 women, showed EEG abnormalities in 48 percent and borderline abnormalities in another 24 per cent. Women showed the abnormalities in a significantly higher proportion than men. |
