In 1994 the Dandenong Environment Group expanded. It became incorporated and started the Dandenong Community Nursery, equipping it with grants from several government organisations. In 1996, following the changes to the local government boundaries, we changed our name to the Greater Dandenong Environment Group. Over the years we have contributed to the conservation strategy, several publications on local flora and fauna, participated in local festivals, produced a leaflet on nestboxes, organised meetings, talks, walks including spotlight walks and some social events. One of the major activities of the group is to run the Dandenong Community Nursery that grows plants indigenous to the Greater Dandenong area. Other Activities
