Geelong Community Forum is a democratically elected, politically
independent, community association that draws together concerned
people sharing a vision of an environmentally sustainable
and equitable future for our region. We choose to work on
a broad range of issues based upon the principles related
in our charter and the concerns of residents who attend
our meetings and public forums.

Speakers:
Dr Paul Connett - is Professor of Chemistry at St. Lawrence
University, in Canton, NY, where he teaches General Chemistry
and Environmental Chemistry and Toxicology. Ralph Nader
said of Paul Connett, "He is the only person I know who
can make waste interesting." Prof. Connett's research on
waste management has taken him to 49 states in the US and
47 other countries. In the past 17 years he has given over
1800 pro bono public presentations on the dangers of incineration
and land filling and the benefits of alternative strategies.
Prof. Connett, is currently touring with GREENPEACE.
In opposition to the growing threat of waste
incineration in Australia. He will join our panel as Keynote
speaker, together with local speakers:

4:30pm - 6:00pm FLUORIDATION:
Prof. Connett will present the health, environmental and
ethical objections to fluoridation. Dental and government
authorities have also been asked to present their case for
fluoridation.
