International Morse Code

As a former trade student at what is now The Royal Melbourne University of Technology, I recall a theory exam during which the scholarly silence was often broken by what sounded like a pair of pernicious woodpeckers busy at their work. The examiner, known by the colloquial of Pluto, focussed on two ex-Sea Scouts - surrepticiously tapping their pens in code - and yelled, "Look, you idiots, I was in the Navy for ten years and I know Morse Code. Get out of here now!"
