Macedon Ranges Badminton Club
The Macedon Ranges Badminton Club is the primary badminton club servicing the Macedon Ranges.
The club draws members from all over the Macedon Ranges area. However we do welcome any members wherever they may live.
We do try to cater for all ages/ fitness levels and abilities. Our aim is primarily to give our members an enjoyable time while keeping fit and of course increasing their badminton skills. Anybody who would like to take part is most welcome.
We divide the year into two seasons - February to June, and July to December. Before the start of each season we have a couple of social sessions where new players can come along, meet us and have a casual hit.
Each week during the season we hold a general competition, a ladies competition and a junior development session.
The club competition is held each Tuesday evening, the ladies competition on Thursday mornings and the junior development coaching / matches on Friday evenings. After the Junior Sessions on Friday evenings, we do usually keep the stadium open for anyone who would like to come along and have a hit.
Generally we suspend competitions during school holidays - but we often still open the stadium for anyone to come along and have a game.
Competition Details
The Club plays at the Macedon Ranges Community Centre, which is located in Waterfalls Road, Macedon. It is also more commonly known as the Tony Clarke Reserve. The contact number for this Centre is 5427 3271.
We run 3 weekly competions :
- Club competition - Tuesday Evenings 8:00 pm - 10.30 pm
- Ladies competition - Thursday Mornings 9.30 am - 12.30 pm
- Junior competion - Friday Afternoons 4.45 pm - 6.45 pm
