I have a hard time believing they force moms to do it. If they do, I really
don't approve. Personally, I was a pump maniac, producing enough milk for 5
babies instead of 1. It was the only thing I could do, and besides, I loved
being hooked up to the old hose-nose machine every 2 hours (yeah, right).
But I saw a lot of moms who were very distraught because they couldn't
produce enough milk to feed just their one. Some had other children at
home, jobs, etc. They were stressed out by the experience as it was, and
had the pressure of trying to pump, and then the disappointment and feelings
of failure when they couldn't produce enough milk.
That's my thought on the subject!
