They have been banned in Canada for about six years or so, due to the head
injury and falling down stairs problem.  They still sell them, but without
the wheels.   But lots of people here have them because they get bought at
garage sales.

I babysat a girl last winter whose previous caregiver had her in a walker
all day.  Her crawling skills were really messed up.  I am very
anti-walker, but please don't anyone take it personally.
