Oh boy, I thought I was the only one who was forgetting details of the NICU
and early months home. Our ordeal was a bit farther in the past then most of
yours (5 years in August), but I still thought I should be remembering more
of it. Blocking out parts of it may actually be a sign of
Post-Traumatic-Stress.
Still, I think that newer preemie parents must think I'm a little nuts when
telling our story and not being able to remember how many transfusions, how
many times intubated, how many eye exams and everything the PT/OT has ever
said!!!
