Joshua was not teeny-tiny because I had gestational diabetes.. (full term he might have 
been 10lbs) but at 4lbs 5oz he looked tiny ..  To ME, the full term babies were UGLY! 
LOL! They had HUGE feet, were covered in white stuff and didn't have the soft baby fuzz 
that Josh had. He looked ever so normal to me. What was really eye opening was a baby 
that weighed 10lbs was put in the warming bed beside him (for an hour)and WOW what a 
difference. She could have beat him up.. ;) What was even scarier is that the mom and I 
went to the same doctor and I remember seeing her a week or 2 before in the lobby and 
thinking how glad I was I didn't have to wear a monitor on my big belly -- if only I had 
known. That belly monitor wouldn't have been such a bad thing compared to NICU!
