Its what you are comfortable with.
My family doctor is Alex's primary doctor. I go to him when he has a cold,
cuts himself etc. Alex sees a developmental paed every 6 months or so on
scheduled visits for check ups. It is this doctor that does all of the
referring to speech, OT etc. This arrangement suits me fine. Even when I
lived in the big city I didn't have him to a paed for everyday care. I had
to fight NICU for that, by the way. I said TOO MANY DOCTORS for this mom
and they went a long with it!
