My name is Gabrielle, I am from England and I only subscribed to the group
today and I have just received my first message..., from you!
Congratulations for Nichola's first birthday! My daughter Harriet, also a
premature baby (27 weeker, 2lb 4ozs) has just celebrated her first birthday
too! Hopefully within the next couple of weeks, I will put together Harriet's
story and mail it to the group. I only wished I found out about this group
before, especially in the beginning. I found this group completely by
accident!! There are very few support groups for premature and special care
babies here in the United Kingdom in my area so finding this group was a
breath of fresh air!

and cuddles to Nicholas!

Thank you for all of Nicolas' birthday wishes! We had a great day. I
tearfully wrote him his letter, which I curtailed at 2 pages. I could've
been 10 pages, easily. I tried not to emphasize his "preemie-ness" in it,
except to say that it proves what a strong little guy he is. It's hard to
believe that he was once so small and fragile.
I think I am going to sign off the list for awhile. My husband needs brain
surgery (gulp!) and I am a bit overwhelmed right now. I believe I'll
unsubscribe on Friday.
I have really enjoyed being friends with all of you. Hopefully I'll
subscribe again in a few months with some good news.
