Hi Susan
Just a quick note because I'm at work. My full-term daughter Jessica had a
fontonelle which was less than a quarter of an inch round at 4 months of
age and completely closed well before her first birthday.  She is a bright
happy normal child who hasn't had so much as a cold in two years.  She's
also on the 90th centile for growth and development.  I remember the Health
Centre nurse telling me I should talk to a pediatrician about her small
fontonelle but I didn't - thank goodness.

Please tell your friend to get a second opinion.  She's been through more
than enough anxiety already and the people she's dealing with sound
callous.
