Hi Betty,
My OB suspected the same thing with my second preemie. The first was born
early after I had PROM at 30 weeks due to listeriosis, so they were treating
me as high risk and doing lots of extra tests with my 2nd pregnancy. When he
came early too (PROM at 33 weeks, breech, born by emergency c-section
because nobody believed me that I was truly going into labor until he
already had one foot shoved out!!!) they were baffled. The OB said I
probably had a partial septum in my uterus, and if I was interested in
pursuing it they could check it out. Since my husband and I have already
decided that our baby factory is closing, that didn't seem like much of an
option. Oh well, I guess I'll never know.
Anyway, while looking up some other information on the internet, I came
across a "parents of preemies" information site maintained by the Wisconsin
medical school/children's hospital. They've got lots of information on just
about everything relating to preemies, and there's even links to other
medical info sites. Another is the AMA's "med-link" site where you can find
all kinds of great info. Here's their addresses:

Good luck!
