When Colin hit about 5-6 pounds, he started to fir into the newborn
diapers better. The pharmacy of our hospital actually carries the
packages (28 or 30 I think) of the preemie diapers. Try looking there!

We bought/recieved three preemie outfits for Colin. At this point he
has amlost outgrown them. (He's currently 6 lbs 11 oz.) When he was in
an isolette the nurses started putting him into t-shirts that the
nursery has an endless supply of. When he moved to a crib, we were able
to start bringing in clothes for him. Three has done pretty well, but
some weeks it seemed like aI had to do his laundry a lot. I might have
preferred one or two more outfits. Not is is starting to wear some of
the newborn outfits we have also. I have two Carters sleepers in a
newborn size that he is still swimming in some, but it is a pleasant
change from his other three outfits. I just roll up the sleeves!

Play it by ear - I know we don't have a lot of time to shop when we want
to spend a lot of time with our tiny ones, but buy a few things and see
how it goes. If you feel like laundry is taking over your life, buy a
few more! I like Colin in the footie PJ's because they are easy, lots
of moms in our nursery like the gowns with the drawstring bottoms or the
onsies that snap arounrd through their legs like a diaper.
Enjoy!
