Oh my God, after 4 years I have finally found someone who had the same
cause for premature birth as me!!
I have had two premature babies, the first didn't make it. After the
second the OB did a hysterscopy and discovered the septum. Very minor but
enough to cause premature rupture of membranes at 23 and 25 weeks. It will
NOT stretch. It is made of fibrous tissue and needs to be removed by
surgery. It is not the same as scar tissue from a C-Section. I had one of
those with kid #3 (full term, after hysterscopy surgery). With my second
child I had terrible abdominal pain and a feeling that my uterus had hit
its limit. The OB I had told me I was just over reacting because of the
death of my first child. I can't repeat what I said to him after, he is
not longer my doctor.
Ask for a hysterscopic examination. By looking at the interior of your
uterus they can determine what needs to be done and usually can do it on
the spot. Email me if you have more questions.
