We are lucky to live in an excellent school district, but even so, the K classes are large (the mandated smaller classes start in 1st) and I think that John Henry would get bored with the work they do and act up. He has a propensity to be the class clown if he is bored or the teacher isn't his type. (I think its a birthdate thing, the other *very funny guy* as JH calls him, has the same birthdate. ) JH was in 2 different preschools part time this year and what a difference in the way he acted with each teacher. :) One was rather cold and the other was very nurturing. He's a good kid, but boy, did he like to egg on the cold teacher.
The private schools that we looked at have smaller classes or a better teacher to student ratio and their programs seem more appropriate for JH. I have no idea what we're going to do, but we have to apply in 4 - 5 months! yikes!
