We have a handicap card (hanger). It is great! When we go out we have to take the 02, 02 monitor, and the apnea monitor, and of course the BABY! So it really does help. We called the DMV and they sent us a form in the mail. Then our doctor filled it out and we took it in to the DMV office. They gave us the option of handicap plates or a card. We use the card because we can put it in either car that he is in. They gave us the card right then. It was pretty simple. As long as you can show proof of the need. And I think it must be needed for a extended period of time. Hope that helps. And as for the monitor problems, I hear you. I only wish I could say that his were false alarms.
