Hi Tonia, when you say your supply has dropped, isn't that just normal from the initial coming down of the milk, your breasts are just settling down and getting into routine I think.

My experience is that I had a 26 weeker and after 3 days I started expressing and got heaps for a couple of days and then it went down to about 30mls every 2 hours, it remained this for the next 15 weeks and even went down on occasion to 10mls each time, BUT I fully breastfeed my daughter for 8 more months after that when we got home and she never had formula in ICN once!!!!

One thing I always appreciated was that the milk you are producing is especially made for your premature baby and has different qualities to that of a full term baby, the quantity is not the most important thing as your baby is not drinking absolutely heaps. If you are really worried you will not be relaxed, so put your feet up and watch some funny stuff on tv or have a chocholate snack and make sure you use the pump and your hand to express, this stimuates the milk supply, husbands also come in handy too!!

Sorry this is so long, good luck and hope you are overflowing soon.

best wishes
