since Calfornia is actually on the Pacific plate, it's actually
our little joke, y'all are going to "fall into the Atlantic"...
But on a more serious note, earthquakes can be pretty scary, I've been
here since '75 so I remember the Whittier Narrows quake in 87 (a 5.7)
and of course Northridge in 94 (a 6.8), and Landers in 92 (which was a 7
but was about 70 miles east of where I live in the San Fernando valley.
but still woke us up at dawn.....
