Our Son Alex was admitted to the hospital this weekend, breathing problems,due to ear infection. While he was getting nebs, one of the RT's said that using Atrovent in a nebulizer can cause eye problems, namely glaucoma. Our son gets Atrovent in a neb 4 times a day (2 at the least). Ever hear of this, anyone? Also was wondering if any one knows of any long term side effects from oral steroids. Our son has had to be on them several times and already had experienced a pseudo-cerebrei(sp?) tumor where his soft spot bulged due to prolonged use of oral prednisolone. Any one know of any affects with the steroids in later aged kids?
