Hi Leslie

My son Alon (31w) had a strawberry hemangioma on his scalp.
It started out as a red spot, then was raised and got a
bit bigger than a large pea. It took about 3-4 years to
shrink and fade and now I can't find it anymore, but he
has a lot of hair so some discoloration may still be there.

I was told to do nothing about it, but if it is in a
place where it might rupture it can be surgicaly removed.
And children with many hemangiomas should be seen
periodicaly by a dermatologist.

Carmela
