After reading all your variables I would definitely sterilize. Avent makes a great microwave sterilizer. It only takes like 8 minutes to sterilize a batch of bottles and nipples and anything you want to throw in there. It's great cause it's 3 parts, plastic, and quick. No, I do not get commision. I just want to add that my cousin used the regular electrical one and it gets all rusted inside and kind of yucky! I loved my Avent sterilizer and if you were closer I'd loan it to you. (No breakable parts)
I got mine at Babies R Us. And it was like $20.
