We have a former 24 weeker and her bottle time was also her
first summer through spring. It is recommended that bottles be
sterilized daily; to be honest we tended to do it sometimes daily,
sometimes every other day. We had a bottle sterilizer which was
quite convenient, as well as a dishwasher, which also makes it easier.
But for us, it was important to sterilize, given that we had a premie.
Khalila did make it through her first 11 months post term without getting
sick at all (she was in individualized day care and we didn't go out much
and we washed our hands a lot). She didn't get sick until she started
group day care.
So that was our experience; hope it's helpful.
