Hi there! I never did a formal introduction on the forum but have posted a few times and just like to read the comments etc on the forum when I have a chance. Our 1st child, Dalton was born at 29 weeks due to severe preeclampsia, and fortunately had only minor problems. He did have surgery a couple of months after released from hospital for a rare mucous retention cyst in his airway that was blocking his airway 80%--he was wheezing terribly. But now things are settling down for us and we are enjoying our little one tremendously. He is such a good natured baby. Anyway, I was thinking about this bottle thing and knew where I could find an answer! Although, this seems so petty compared to all others problems. I need some input about sterilizing baby bottles! I have been boiling them for 9 months since my son was born and my sisters told me yesterday they only sterilized them once before the 1st time they used them and from then on they only wash them with the rest of the dishes?? Is it necessary? if not, I am surely going to stop as I have plenty of other things to do!!!!!!! My sisters children weren't preemies, so maybe I need to be more causious than them??
My thoughts and prayers are with all the little ones on the forum and parents that are going through so much right now with illness etc. We are very fortunate and have only had 3 ear infections this winter. Reading all of the posts brings back alot of memories from 9 months ago, but have faith, our son has blessed our lives in so many ways and those little preemies are sure fighters and so strong!! Hang in there.
