I just had to respond...I've been there, on the "one step back" days, when you feel like its never going to end, when the whole thing feels like hell on earth, sorry for the term, but that's all I could think of at the time...we feel so sad and confused and out of control, but at the same time proud and happy. I used to stare at the crib and cry thinking there should be a baby in there!
As much as possible now I look in the crib and relish the baby in there. I don't ever want to forget what he went through to get there.
Be strong. Hang in there. Go Amanda.
