I haven't read through all the posts from others so maybe someone gave you this already, but this is what our NICU used on Alek's poor little bum..
1 part Maalox, 1 part Desitin, add corn starch till desired thickness. It really helped with his bum.
Also, I just started using homemade wipes because Alek keeps a diaper rash lately (partly I think because he's teething) What I did was cut up an old infant towel that we don't use anymore into rectangles, then I placed them in an old chubs box. I got a spray bottle from walmart (97 cents) and filled it will warm water and Johnson & Johnson's baby oil w/ aloe & vit e. I simply spray the cloth wipe before each diaper change and wipe down. He had a horrible bum the other day and NOTHING was helping it. I tried this and the next morning his bum was CLEAR!!
