We've done it off and on for a year now.. and seen fairly good results. Once
we got the positive results, we got less religious about doing it.. we
figured we didn't need to.. but it still helps. He likes to do the same. Pick
up his food and immediately drop it -- the dog loves that.. he gets an extra
meal :) 

If you don't feel its working, ask the therapist for more ideas! We're lucky
in that our OT is full of ideas.. has years of experience. If you don't find
anything new to try, let me know.. I'll gladly ask my therapist what she
would do. :)
