Trickle trickle

Hi all. I refused to believe that my water had broken. We'd just got home
from our child birth class, picked up Trevor from a friends, put him to bed
and got into bed ourselves. I lay awake for about 20 min. and then I felt a
small "pop" and a little trickle. I went to the bathroom to find that my
panties were wet so I changed them and got back into bed again. Another
trickle. It didn't feel like I was peeing my pants but that's what I
assumed it was. Funny it didn't leak while I was standing up, only when
lying down. I called L&D to tell them what was going on and of course they
wanted me to come in right away. I didn't feel any pelvic pressure,
contractions, nothing. So, I told the nurse to give me another 1/2 hour and
I'd call her back. She must have thought I was nuts. I think I knew what
was happening, I just didn't want to admit it. Mike simply refused to get
out of bed. He didn't want to believe it either. Get this. At one point I
actually asked him to sniff my panties to make sure that the fluid wasn't
pee. He agreed that it wasn't and then got out of bed. I still refused to
believe that my water had broken until we got to L&D and the nurse confirmed
it. Cynthia
