Ahhh... the infamous hat! I almost forgot about that! Having not even
seen the nurse's station, I was *sure* that the entire hospital could
hear me saying, "I have to go to the bathroom." When my husband was
there, I would have him go out to the station to tell the nurses. Most
of them were great about checking it and emptying it. I did have one
night nurse, however, who expected me to do my own measuring, recording
and emptying. All I could think of was, "isn't that what she's paid
for?" Needless to say, she wasn't my favorite nurse and I could hardly
wait to see who I'd have the next night.
