Our babies are priceless but who pays for the care of prem babies whose
parents have no insurance? And is there a quality difference in the care
of insured and uninsured babies?<<
At the hospital where Zach was born, all babies were treated the same,
regardless of the parent's ability to pay. In fact, I would guess that 1/3
to 1/2 of the babies in the NICU were Medi-Cal recipients, so the state
(i.e.-taxpayers) pay the bill. Also, this is a private hospital and they do
not discriminate based on one's ability to pay.
