well here's my horror stories.

With Taylor, there was no time for anything. At one point during the day,
Taylor started to have some pretty bad decelerations with my contractions,
then on the next one, they lost the heart rate. The nurses began unhooking
everything(i had the monitors, oxygen, IV, catheter, and the cords to the
bed) and RAN with my hosp bed down the hall to L & D. The doc hit the room
and said push. no time for a c-section. He did do an epesiotomy (sp)- his
only warning was "say ouch" He had to get his hand in and pull. I also had
about a million, okay two or three, nurses pushing on my belly. Taylor was
born in only a few minutes, about as close to dead as you can get,
Apgar's--1,1,2,7.

For Travis, I had placenta previa (my placenta was covering my cervix), so I
had to have a c-section. I had an epi. IT took the anesthesiologist six
tries to get it in. It seems that I have a very sensitive back and flinched
every time he touched it, also he said that the spaces between my vertebrae
are very small. I can't even begin to imagine what it would have been like
if I were having labor pains. After he got it going, it was great, and it
wore off without any problems, except that part of one of my butt cheeks was
a little numb for a couple of days.

Haven't decided if I would have another one. If I were sure they could get it
in the first try, I probably would.
