I'm relieved that I'm not the only one with this jealousy thing. I
really feel like a heel for being envious, but I just can't help it!
I feel jealous and also blame myself (sometimes I've felt the most
natural, most beautiful thing a woman can do is the one thing I
didn't do right).

I'm tossing around the idea of having another child (my husband's
not ready, though) and the biggest thing keeping me from it is the
possibility of this happening again. But I'm determined that if
there IS a next time I'm going to do it right! Get that jealousy
out of the way for good. The very day I find out I'm pregnant, I'll
vow not to lay a finger on the vaccuum, not to lift even grocery
sacks, and to delegate more of the housework to my husband and son to
give me time to rest. Keith has mentioned this before, too, that he
refuses to let me do even what's normal duty if I'm ever pregnant again!

Another secret revealed! Although I am not nearly as bad about this as I
used to be. I guess I got better little by little as my due date
approached and passed and then with each subsequent month. But up until
my due date I simply couldn't stand to even be in the same room with a
pregnant woman. And I admit to feeling real twinges of envy, jealousy,
pain whenever I hear about somebody delivering an enormous baby or a
woman with multiples going months longer than I did. I guess I am also a
bit envious of people with an opportunity to do the pregnancy thing again
since that's not in the cards for me. On the other hand, infancy is
behind us and I am glad!
