I'm sure you tell your wife every chance you get how much you respect
what she's done and what she's sacrificed for the lives of your
children. Just a little praise goes a long way and can make the
difference between her feeling that she didn't do enough and feeling
that she's a hero. From my experience--I held a lot of self-blame
and felt that I could have handled this better, got really down on
myself. But the smallest word from Keith about how he appreciated and
respected what I'd sacrificed changed my feelings from being
worthless to being worthwhile.
Again, thank you for your encouraging support for wives and mothers.
And supporting husbands/fathers like yourself also make a huge
difference on how well we mothers handle the situation!
