Emma's had 3 birthdays and has yet to eat a bite of cake :) We like
'em though!

Yes, I am a therapist and have used those techniques with some
kids. I think it could be effective if you feel that some of it might
be due to "habit". Emma's not gagging much anymore these days but
I do feel she had herself convinced for awhile there that she *couldn't*
eat anything without gagging.

P.S. Shannon hasn't been impressed with solids so far either...maybe
I just grow non-eating kids?!
