I was told it depends on the *reason* for the prematurity. Someone
with a weak cervix would have a much higher chance of having repeat
preemies if nothing were done to help the problem than someone who
had a preemie due to a random infection, etc.
The cause of Em's prematurity was never found and it was assumed
I probably did have a random infection and/or the high stress of
my job at the time contributed to the problem. The second time
around I had a much nicer job and no infection and Shannon was born
safe and well only 4 days before her due date :)
