I'm the mom of 32 week B/G twins who are now 8 months (6 mos corrected).
We went through a very difficult time - going on bedrest at 20 weeks,
cerclage at 22 weeks, preterm hospitalization at 25 weeks and going
in at 27 weeks for 5 weeks TOTAL bedrest in the hospital on high levels
of mag the entire time (ie 4.5). I was dilated to 4 and 75% effaced
after the cerclage tore at 27 weeks. I could only lay in bed on my
sides for the following 5 weeks, no showers, no restroom, I couldn't read
or do any needlework or anything because the mag was so high my mind was
shot.

However, our beautiful twins were born at 4 pounds each with minimal
problems, nothing permanent. They spent 5 weeks in NICU which allowed
me to learn to walk again and recover from an emergency c-section.

They are now off their apnea monitors (as of last week!) and haven't had
to go back to the hospital since they've been home which is wonderful
considering they've caught everything known to man - from RSV to
the rotovirus and beyond...

We feel so fortunate to have escaped much more difficult problems.

Sadly, I am unable to continue on this list as it is via my husband's
office computer and takes up too much space and time for him right
now. I hope to get a home computer soon where I can rejoin.

Good luck to you all.

Lisa (mom to Alaina and Braeden 7/25/95, Andrew 8/89 and Sarah 9/82)
