feeding stuff

To Mary, and Lynda,
Thanks for your ideas, it's nice to know that Taylor isn't the only one who
spits out the soggy stuff, like his cheetos (I just wish he wouldn't try to
put them back in the bag).

We have tried to get Taylor to play with his food, but like Emma, he only
gets crazy and demands to have his hands cleaned. The other day, his OT put
some shaving cream on the back of his hand and he had a coniption. He hasn't
let her get close to him since. The experience seemed to make him regress a
bit. Just prior to this, he had made some real advances; he walked on grass
barefoot, and was crawling through a tube covered in long shag carpet. Now
he's back to not touching things again.

Taylor definitly has his own way of dealing with the world. One interesting
thing is that the few words that he has are all food items. He asks for
cookies and crackers, then just carries them around. He runs around saying
'peeah' for pizza whenever he sees a pizza box, he says ice cream when we
open the freezer, and co-coke for any drink we have. If only he would
actually eat any of the above items. He also says kitty, and meow,(we have 2
dogs, no cats.).

In Taylor's world order, all doors are shut, all of his blocks and things are
put back in their boxes, his figurine of a dump truck driver MUST always face
forward in his Tonka truck. And he must sleep with his head touching his
headboard. If any of the above are not just right, he will go out of his way
to put them back.
