I feel I need to explain what I meant re: rude people telling me Emma
*couldn't* be as old as she was.  I was not at all trying to "hide" her,
what I objected to was their tone and the implication that either I
was starving her or I was just too stupid to know how old my own kid was.

This is hard to convey through e-mail I know, you'll just have to take
my word for it :)  The people who were genuinely interested in her were
the ones I gladly told the story to.  All my co-workers (who of course
knew the story) thought she was amazing...so that was a good ego boost :)
