My husband and I disagreed about this issue. When asked how old
Daniel and Michelle were I always told people their real age...with no
explanation. My husband always told their adjusted age, which of course
required no explanation. I felt that if I used their corrected age then I
was
dismissing the previous 14 weeks of agony in the NICU. If someone was
genuinely interested about their small size I would briefly explain. After
all,
they are miracle babies and I am proud of how far they have come! One
time we were out and someone asked their age and I said 3 1/2 months and
my husband said 2 weeks at the same time. We got a very strange look
and the person walked away. Now it doesn't seem to matter. They look
almost like their actual age anyway.
