We were able to rent a special preemie baby size car seat from the
hospital. Is this a rare thing? It was rated for up to 10 pounds and
Emma was out of it by 3 months of age. It really fit her well,
relatively speaking. We could then use the standard sort of car seat
insert. She left the hospital at 4 lb. 4 oz. and we didn't take her
out much until she was closer to 7 pounds (on dr.'s advice.) Mainly
just to church once she got around 6 1/2 pounds and it wasn't so scary
anymore if she picked up a cold.
I *hated* it too when people would try to touch her! I was not afraid
to be rude when necessary!
Lynda, mom to Emma, 3.6 (33 weeker) and Shannon, 5 months (39 weeker).
