Can obsessive moms reply to your question, too?  My Jenny (26 weeker) did 
not gain weight for the first three months due to a grade 3-4 IVH and the  
resulting depression of her breathing functions.  At almost three months 
she had a shunt placed and her weight TOOK OFF, almost overnight.  Try 
to look at Matthew's weight trends, over the course of a week, say.  
You might see progress there that is not as apparent on a day-by-day 
basis.
