Wow!  I stay off my computer for two days and there are 50 mail
messages waiting when I come back :) !  This is great!

Welcome to all the new list members! I am Tom Hannah, from South
Carolina. My little boy, Matthew, just celebrated his one-month
birthday in the NICU. He was born at 24 weeks (26 developmentally).
He's had an up-and-down week last week. Was tested for infection,
including a spinal tap. Everything came back negative (no infection).
His vent settings and 02% are coming down now (so I am feeling better).

I also welcome the presence of a neonatolgist on the list. While reading
his introduction, I though for a minute that it might my one of our
doctors. I took the King's web article to one of the nurses at our NICU.
The next day, I found that it had "made the rounds" of the other nurses
and some of the doctors (They were very impressed). My doctor, who in
on AOL, wanted the addresses of some premee-related Internet "stuff".
Who knows, maybe we'll hear from him one of these days.
