Mike,
We're from the Kansas City, Mo area. It looks like we have an international
group.
Even with the limited time I've monitored the group, I'm amazed at the
similarities and differences we've experienced with the NICU experience.
At Research Medical Center, we had unlimited access to our kids with the
exception of shift change 645-715 am and pm, and rounds 0800-10 or 1100.
This was to protect the confidentiality of the other kids in the nursery.
The only other restriction would have been if something serious would happen
to one of the kids. Fortunately, this didn't happen while we were there.
Other members of the immediate family, grandparents and siblings, could also
visit when we were present also. Extended family and friends were limited to
watching from a window.
