What's went on over the weekend...
...Matthew was stared on antibiotics because his platlet count was
low. They said that this was one of the early signs on possible
infection, although he was not acting like he was sick. Turns out
that he was. The culture grew. The antibiotics should take care of
the situation.
...Stopped kangaroo care for a while. Turns out that he is the smallest
baby they have ever done kangaroo care with (1 lb 2.9 oz at the time)
I think it is just a difference of opinions of the doctors. One says
"ok" the other says "wait a while".
...He lost weight (tenths of ounces) for several days then gained
(ounces) for two days. We went from 1 lb 3.8 oz down to 1 lb 2.2 oz
then back up to 1 lb 5.1 oz.
...He had some bradycardia (sp) (Brady spells) last night. Stopped
after a while.
They made this all sound "expected" amd "normal". Is it?
